The Model Pulse Village programme was implemented by Krishi Vigyan Kendra during 2024? 25 in Noorpur and Haidalpur villages under the guidance of ATARI, Kanpur, to enhance pulse productivity and farmers' income. Improved varieties of Arhar, Urd, and Lentil were demonstrated over 300 ha through nearly 700 frontline demonstrations. The intervention resulted in a 21 percent yield increase, a benefit-cost ratio of 2.4, and an additional net income of Rs 20,000 per acre, while improving soil fertility and household nutritional security.
